Disruptive technology for SMT machine fixtures by inspīre

inspīre solutions LLC, a new company with 60 years of SMT experience, will introduce a disruptive technology for SMT machine fixtures at SMTA International, scheduled to take place Sept. 24-25, 2019 at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The completely new technology has been developed to provide superior PCB fixtures for most of the machines in the electronic assembly factory.
The Toolmaker mini CNC machine carves out the mirror image of the PCB into a material optimized for SMT assembly, including stencil printing. With this desktop machine, the size of a large microwave oven, manufacturers can now build their own superior quality fixtures on demand for less than $100 in material.

A Real Problem-Solving Machine

Modern electronic manufacturing factories are an on-demand business, yet many companies wait days for a dedicated machine fixture to become available. As PCBs get thinner, the old pin support tooling may no longer provide adequate support.
The Toolmaker produces on-demand fixtures in the factory. It requires no programming.  Simply clip the PCB (fully assembled or assembled on side 1) into the machine, hit start and walk away. Come back a couple of hours later and find the new fixture ready to go.  Alternatively, simply download the Gerber file into the machine.
The material used with the Toolmaker has a level of pliability that enables superior printability, and can utilize the vacuum feature found in many stencil printers
